Boeing Defense, Space, and Security (BDS) in Oklahoma City, is seeking experienced highly skilled Senior Engineer to lead Systems Engineering, Integration & Test (SEIT) activities within project engineering or aircraft certification for aircraft modernization and modification programs. The Boeing OKC site focuses on providing our customers' fleets with timely, high quality engineered modernization upgrades and modification solutions on a variety platform such as government executive transports, surveillance and bomber aircraft. Our goal is creating an engaged engineering community focused on delivering innovative solutions and engineering excellence. This Level 4 position is located in Oklahoma City.
Employees are expected to work in office primarily full-time. On a case-by-case basis, employees may be able to work from home part-time. In all cases, employees are expected to reside in or around the Oklahoma City area so that they can come into the office as needed to support program execution or other tasks.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsibilities include but are not limited to technical leadership and oversight in the following areas:
System requirements development, decomposition, and allocation
System functional analysis
System architecture, design, and synthesis
System verification and validation
System analysis (Technical Performance Measures, Risk, Issue, & Opportunity Management, SEIT performance/leading indicator metrics)
Support/Lead cross-functional team, working groups, program, and customer meetings
Developing and delivering SEIT products such as architecture models/documents, requirements databases, specifications, reports, etc.
Collaborating with customer organizations
Mentoring and coaching (ensuring team understands & executes Boeing processes, ensuring quality of all the team's internal/external deliverables)
Traveling periodically to support customer and supplier meetings
Security Clearance and Export Control Requirements:
This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship .
An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience ):
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering
Ability to communicate with a wide range of audiences using a variety of media to clearly convey information and ideas
Ability to provide technical solutions to a wide range of difficult problems that are imaginative, thorough, practicable, and consistent with organization objectives
Ability to understand the big picture and the inter-relationships of all positions and activities in the system, including the impact of changes in one area on another area
Experience in technical leadership of complex projects and engineering teams throughout the program lifecycle
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience ):
Experience developing, decomposing, allocating and managing certification requirements
Experience developing, decomposing, allocating and managing requirements
Experience in functional analysis
Experience in risk, issue, and opportunity management
Experience in systems architecture development
Experience executing various systems development life cycles
Experience in systems integration
Experience in verification, validation, and certification
Experience with FAA or EMAR certification
Experience mentoring technical teams
T ypical Education/Experience :
Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education in engineering (e.g. Bachelor) from an ABET accredited college or university and typically 9 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. PhD, Master+7 years' related work experience)
