Starting Pay is $27.31/hr. + $0.30 shift differential for (11pm - 7am) + OT opportunities

SHIFT: 10p-8a; 6 Days

The Johns Manville Rockdale facility is currently seeking qualified applicants for the position of Maintenance Mechanic. This is a skilled level position working to install, maintain, and repair machinery and equipment. The job requires that the employee be able to work safely and follow safety rules. Employee must be dependable, able to follow instructions and directions, according to established operating procedures, performs the following duties while cooperating with all levels within the organization.

Your Day-to-Day:

* Use safe working practices and always report hazardous conditions
* Respond to production issues and handle maintenance work orders
* Assist in production line(s) changeover and setup
* Troubleshoots and repairs mechanical transmission power systems.
* Troubleshoots and repairs pneumatic and hydraulic systems.
* Able to perform basic millwright and welding tasks.
* Install, troubleshoot, and repair pumps and piping system.
* Reads and understands blueprints, sketches, mechanical drawings, and equipment manuals.
* Repair and troubleshoots conveying systems.
* Should be capable of using a computer and computer-based maintenance programs.

What You Bring to the Team:

* High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
* 1 to 3 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
* Should be capable of entering information into computer software systems.

Physical Requirements:

* Work environment is typical of a manufacturing facility: May be exposed to environmental conditions of cold, heat, high noise levels, moving mechanical parts, heights, dust/mist/gas/fumes, extensive walking or climbing, bending, reaching, etc.
* Ability to work overtime as required, including shifts of 12 hours.
* May be required to lift, carry, push or pull up to and including 50 pounds
