Home UAE MANAGER - EXPRESS SYSTEMS - SKYCARGO Home UAE MANAGER - EXPRESS SYSTEMS - SKYCARGO MANAGER - EXPRESS SYSTEMS - SKYCARGO Full time at a Laimoon Verified Company in UAE Job PurposeEmirates SkyCargo is a world-class air cargo carrier, with a vast network of destinations, cutting-edge facilities, and a focus on innovation, efficiency, and sustainability.Manager of Express Systems role is focused on developing and executing a long term plan and supporting a significant IT investment in express and courier cargo services.Reporting directly into the Express Project Lead, you will ensure alignment with the strategic, operational and tactical strategy of the project, including the ongoing management of IT activities for the express and courier cargo product.In this role, you will:- Develop a comprehensive plan regarding IT spend for the express, courier and cargo project, ensuring all key components are incorporated and that the plan is fully aligned with all project stakeholders.- Lead interaction with external vendors around initial and future systems development, ensuring compliance with internal procurement processes and driving best value for the project.- Oversee 24x7 operational support for the business, so that any systems upgrades and enhancements are understood and planned for partner with internal stakeholders to ensure system experience is central.- You will lead a team of analysts and systems experts to design, develop and manage all aspects of current and future express and courier cargo business systems in the most cost effective and efficient way.Qualifications & ExperienceTo be considered for the role, you must meet the below requirements:- Degree or Honours (12+3 or equivalent) in Business Management/ Supply Chain management or IT- 10+ years in the express, courier and cargo industry of which a minimum of 6 years in a Managerial role.- Extensive experience in large scale IT systems project management- Experience in the procurement and management of IT outsourced vendor / partners- Experience in relevant areas of express and courier cargo operations, finance and commercial activities, including oversight of logistics, supply chain operations- Knowledge of automated supply chain systems and emerging technologies and trends- Ability to analyse business requirements as subject matter expert and understand the development life cycle of application systems- Relevant exposure in managing various business IT projects (comprising both large & complex projects)At Emirates, we're committed to providing our employees with opportunities to grow and develop in their careers.
