Manufacturing Engineer Planner: 52K – 63K
The Manufacturing Engineer Planner is responsible for the development and implementation of manufacturing plans for new programs and revisions to existing programs as required. Areas of focus would include existing programs, new OEM product launch, as well as MRO growth through our FAA Repair Station, Aftermarket, and reverse engineering strategies. This position reports to the Manager of Engineering.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Duties include, but are not limited to, the following:
· Executes Engineering changes. Updates master manufacturing plans, vendor instructions, and creates tool orders
· Incorporates Engineering changes to in-process work instructions and Bill of Material
· Incorporates non-conforming product (NCR) dispositions to in-process work instructions and Bill of Material
· Creates Manufacturing Plans
· Designs required tooling necessary to achieve product conformance
· Uses 3D modeling to produce decompositions at assembly, sub-assembly, and detail part levels
· Uses 3D modeling to understand and plan composite part manufacture and assembly
· Prototypes required tooling using 3D printing methods
· Update Manufacturing Planning documentation as required
· Troubleshoot detail and assembly tool issues
· Works with Manufacturing Personnel to update existing work instructions to improve build process
· Makes recommendations for improvements to work instructions
· Completes other tasks as established by the Manufacturing Engineering Supervisor
Qualifications:
· One year of related experience including time as an intern or coop, required; 3 years preferred.
· Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, preferred.
· Technical School of FAA airframe and Power Plant Certification, preferred.
· One year of aircraft composites and/or tooling experience, preferred.
· One year experience with MRP systems and Bills of Material.
· Ability to view and interrogate 2D and 3D CAD engineering.
· Must be able to read blueprints, technical drawings and assembly instructions.
· One year Microsoft Office experience, required.
