What you'll do here:

As the Marketing Events Manager, you will manage all aspects of events to support Infosec's participation in trade shows, national conferences, local events, webinars and our regional Infosec Inspire client conferences to build brand awareness, engage clients and generate leads. You will manage budgets, work on pre-event marketing and planning, post-event analysis, and generally make sure the event runs smoothly and efficiently. Reporting to our Director Brand and Content Marketing, you'll assume leadership of a fast-paced trade show and virtual webinar schedule. At the same time, the success of the program will depend upon you assuming full ownership of each event, whether you attend or not. You'll have the opportunity to showcase your own creativity as you envision, design and execute focused programs to drive brand awareness and leads in both security and vertical-specific conferences.

  • Work cross-functionally to plan and develop effective pre-show and post-show marketing campaigns and master event tools to develop event websites and registration landing pages

  • Prepare and implement a detailed event work plan aligned to event goals

  • Develop event playbooks and brief event staff, setting expectations to ensure goals are met

  • Manage an events budget and show return on investment on tactics

  • Build webinar environments, host webinar training, moderate live webinar events and manage post-event follow up and attendee engagement

  • Lead the conceptualization, planning and execution for our regional Infosec Inspire client conferences, leaving clients delighted and prospects further down the funnel

  • Hire and wrangle speakers and subject matter experts

  • Deliver event post-mortems to show performance to brand and company goals

  • Manage design, layout, cost estimates and construction of exhibits and trade show displays

  • Maintain relationships for favorable treatment with show vendors

  • Maintain communication with any outside vendors contracted for the event

  • Hire A/V teams or equipment as needed

  • Setup and breakdown event space or prepare other event staff

Skills you will need here:

  • 3-5+ years of related experience — marketing, event or communications experience preferred

  • The ability to manage workloads and prioritize requests to meet deadlines

  • A proactive approach to managing internal customers, such as ensuring that they register on time and share event details with external stakeholders

  • Outstanding project management and execution skills

  • A proven ability to communicate effectively with sales, marketing, executive management and vendors

  • Proven experience with software tools like WordPress or Squarespace, Cvent or Eventbrite, Adobe Photoshop or similar tools to design webpages and update materials

  • Strong problem solving, negotiation and interpersonal skills

  • Ability to translate big-picture event strategy into tactics, working both independently and in collaboration with other teams as needed to meet event deadlines and goals

  • Excellent attention to the details without losing sight of the big picture

  • Ability to travel 25% of the time
