The Challenge and The Opportunity
We have an immediate opening for a Marketing Manager with Knit Picks. This person will focus on developing cohesive marketing plans that support our revenue goals for each period. You will formulate and execute new and effective content marketing strategies, evaluate and report on marketing campaigns, coordinate with other managers to ensure clear communication across multidisciplinary teams, and work with the team to develop content strategy and drive demand. If you are comfortable seeking out and using data to create inspired and cohesive campaigns that can be used across multiple platforms and you are a curious thinker who can recognize trends in the industry and propose ways to improve, promote, and grow our brands, this could be the job for you. While you do not have to be a knitter or crocheter, genuine appreciation and interest in the art of crafting is essential to your success.
Role Highlights
Email - Partner with brand, creative, and content directors to plan the email calendar; manage email campaigns from conception to send and coordinate related promo codes and landing pages with web developers.
Cycle Launches - Manage six-week launch cycle activities, including sales/ graphic plans and promotion set ups; work with graphics team to creating assets for new products and promotions; create and edit email and catalog copy and related advertising; assign graphics.
Promotions - Work with the brand director to set sales and promotions calendar; project manage promotions and sales by working with content editors, inventory planners, and web developers to managing site structure, code set up, timers, and graphics.
Analysis - Conduct market research and competitive pricing analysis to ensure the sale and profitability of products and services; use sales forecasting to drive strategic planning; review the efficacy of existing marketing campaigns and strategies; maintain knowledge of trends and developments in the market.
Within 1 month, you will:
Learn the production schedule and deliverable routing and proofing process.
Begin communicating and coordinating with teams across multiple departments.
Track and analyze the results of online and print marketing campaign analytics, catalog sales data, online sales data, and promotional events and offers.
Within 3 months, you will:
Have developed a solid understanding of customer persona, and brand voice and aesthetic.
Contribute to the marketing planning, including email content and campaign planning.
Have a solid understanding of launch cycles and procedures, take over coordinating and executing campaign and product launches.
Contribute to ownership of revenue goals.
Within 6 months, you will:
Understand merchandising strategy, prepare and propose marketing strategies.
Oversee email marketing campaign execution from start to finish.
Use your cultivated understanding of the yarn market and customer demographic to execute informed online customer growth and outreach initiatives.
Compensation: Exempt, $66,000 to $75,000/yr. DOE plus annual bonus based on company profitability. Read more about our benefits package below.

After your training and introductory 90 days you may be approved in a hybrid arrangement; all staff is scheduled to be in-office on Tuesday’s and Wednesdays.
Requirements
The successful candidate will have:
Three or more years of related professional experience, including demonstrated success in a lead or senior Marketing role required.
Bachelor’s Degree in marketing, business, or another similar field preferred.
Thorough understanding of principles and methods used to promote, display, and sell products and services.
Ability to gather and use data to support the decision-making process, and to explain to others how this data supports your marketing plans.
Ability to pivot and ensure priorities are always in order.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Comfortable managing processes, schedules, and suggesting new ways of working when you see them.
Experience working with teams from multiple disciplines, including IT, Purchasing, and Creative. Ability to build and maintain important partnerships with our community of content creators, industry professionals, and creative contractors.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills to convey concepts internally and externally.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Comfort with data and business analytics and the ability to merge marketing plans with revenue goals. You are the part of the team making sure we understand the results that correlate with our goals.
Strong supervisory and leadership skills. Emotional intelligence. Dedication to continued growth and development.
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, especially Teams, PowerBi, Excel, Word, and Power Point. Knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite, Google Analytics, Sprout Social and Basecamp is helpful but not required.
