The Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS), is seeking a Mission Systems Integration Engineer , in St. Louis, MO , to work on a Phantom Works Fixed Wing program .

You will be responsible for developing engineering solutions, including both enhancing existing architectures with the addition of new capabilities as well as architecting completely new systems. In this role you will be joining a cross-functional team to progress our products through the development lifecycle.

The day-to-day activities of this position will be a combination of traditional design engineering, collaborating with cross-functional peers, presenting technical challenges and solutions to leadership. Frequent interaction with program leadership, customers and industry partners during critical design phases will be key elements of this position.

Position Responsibilities:

• Develops and documents moderately complex electronic and electrical system requirements. Designs hardware, software and interface specifications.

• Tests and validates to ensure system designs meet operational and functional requirements.

• Perform lab hardware configuration and testing activities.

• Solves problems concerning fielded hardware and software the entire product lifecycle.

• Researches specific technology advances for potential application to company business needs.

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed locations.

This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

• Bachelor’s degree or higher from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, or physics.

• Professional experience with in Avionic systems: architecture, requirements, design, interfaces, platform integration, flight test planning, testing, validation and verification.

• Professional experience with software requirements, software design, hardware software integration and testing.

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

• Experience working in Cameo, or similar Model Based Systems Engineering tools.

• Experience with integration of DoD tactical platforms sensors and subsystems.

• Experience developing requirements and applicable traceability from the weapon system down to subsystems.

• Experience with avionics integration testing, analysis tools (e.g. Matlab or others), and flight test.

Typical Education/Experience (Level 2):

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 2 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. Master). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.

Typical Education/Experience (Level 3):

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 5 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD, Master+3 years' related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.

Summary pay range (Level 2): $79,900 – $108,100

Summary pay range (Level 3): $96,050 – $129,950
