The Marketing Supply Chain Operations Support Specialist, will be responsible for supporting domestic & international end users of video streaming and video transfer products, which consist of pre-/post-air cuts of various NBCUniversal content. This person should have technical knowledge and support skills for Macs, PCs, iOS, and Android devices as well as working knowledge of video codecs, and transcoding. Strong written and verbal communication skills are also critical. The ability to work across multiple shifts is critical. Our team works with clients from all over the world and we strive to ensure we can provide them all with top level support including overnight and weekend support when needed for live events.
The Post Operations Specialist is a member of the Marketing Supply Chain team, which manages the Support and Operations for NBCUniversal’s Television portfolio (comprised of NBC, USA, SYFY, Bravo, E!, among others). The technology portfolio consists of custom- and vendor-supported products that support various production, press, public relations, and marketing departments.
Job Duties:
Support multiple technology products from an L1 support perspective.
Work in close collaboration with Manager and global team to provide proper coverage during assigned shift.
Engage with users directly, both on-site and remote, from entry level staff to senior executives.
Use a web-based administration tool to create users, manage permissions, upload content, etc.
Communicate effectively with non-technical users both domestic and abroad, sometimes where English is not their primary language.
Become a subject matter expert in the system(s) as well as the business process that he/she is supporting.
2+ years’ experience in Client Services or Production Support role, supporting hardware and/or software.
Self-starter who demonstrates initiative and ability to work independently with little supervision.
Demonstrated written skills from previous work experience.
Demonstrated organization skills from previous work experience.
Confident, clear, and comfortable communication across all levels of an organization.
Ability to summarize complex issues in concise, user-friendly communications
Flexibility and willingness to work shifts including overnights Monday through Friday as determined by Manager. Includes occasional special event live weekend coverage
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in Media & Entertainment environment preferred.
Excellent communication, presentation & solid business acumen.
Organized and detail-oriented with ability to manage own work.
Ability to prioritize competing/conflicting requests and obtain consensus.
Ability to overcome obstacles and develop resolutions to complex problems.
Ability to work in a fast paced, deadline-driven environment.
Experience or knowledge of content protection or security.
Experience with Adobe creative suite is a plus
