Municipal Account Executive – Client Partnership Manager Position

Our client is currently seeking a driven, energetic, and results-oriented Account Executive who will be responsible for selling the company SaaS platform to local governments in Michigan using a customer for life, client-focused sales approach. If you are tech-savvy and love closing deals while positively impacting communities, then this job is for you!

The role requires getting things done consistently and handling a variety of activities. Self-assurance and the confidence to purposely drive toward results while problem-solving and engaging the commitment of others are essential. Curiosity and humility to want to improve one’s sales craft and turn coaching into action are important ingredients to long-term success and value creation. An engagement style that is firm and goal-oriented, and yet enthusiastically motivates others is critical. The emphasis on building rapport and relationships with individuals and groups requires an outgoing, poised, and persuasive communication style.

The successful Account Executive will:

  • Expertly aid prospects through the buying process to consistently win new business and up-sells
  • Thoroughly understand customer needs and effectively communicate the solution value proposition.
  • Develop and manage your pipeline to consistently meet or exceed sales quotas.
  • Stay current with company offerings, the benefits, and the value they provide to our clients.
  • Attend conferences and travel to get in front of prospects, present to local governments, and speak at events to drive the sales process to a successful conclusion.
  • Track all activity and documentation within a CRM.

Municipal Account Executive – Client Partnership Manager Qualifications

  • College degree in business or related fields.
  • 2+ years of on-quota sales experience
  • GovTech sales and experience working with local government and utilities are a plus
  • SaaS or recurring revenue sales experience a plus
  • Ability to manage time effectively and handle a variety of concurrent tasks while working independently or with a team.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • A successful and provable history of selling a suite of software products and services in a committee environment with varied stakeholders and decision-makers.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office products, online business tools, and CRM.
  • Loves and is comfortable with technology. Able to learn new technologies quickly.
