Our Hotel Night Auditor serves as our guests' overnight point of contact and manages all aspects of their accommodation(s). Hotel Night Auditor responsibilities include registering guests, managing reservations, cycling through and laying out loads of laundry and providing information about rooms, rates and amenities. You will be responsible for closing out the end of day. The position requires one to be very detail minded and one must be able to multitask. Must be able to work 11PM to 7AM, including weekends and some holidays. Laundry must be caught up so the housekeeping team has fresh, clean linens to provide to guests the following day. Ultimately, you will help create a pleasant and memorable stay for our guests and assist the team with operations for the following day. The Hotel Night Auditor must listen to and act on the policies that the property has in place as well as any direct orders from administration. This includes maintaining the positive atmosphere that the property has established and being a part of the process to congratulate your fellow teammates when a job is well done.
Questions or concerns must be brought directly to the attention of administration as it is our duty to assist and can only help if notified. As the Hotel Night Auditor's hours are that of the opposite from administration, this can be done on the PAL, through an email, via call or text (7AM - 10PM), or simply coming in and addressing it in person, unless it is urgent. Please keep in mind that meetings may be requested by you at any time as well. Suggestion box available.
Every member of the team will have the opportunity to be rewarded as the Employee of the Month. Please present to the administration any proposals as to who you think should receive it and why and the administration will take that into consideration for the selection process. Each employee also has the opportunity to win a raffle when they go above and beyond their expectations during their shift.
Please remember to stay compliant to hotel policies. Whether the policy was made by a supervisor, management, or the owners, it is important that we allow the policy to succeed or fail so that we as a hotel learn from what works best with our team, guests and market.
Hotel Night Auditor Tasks:
Run all mandatory End of Day reports and send them to the required emails. Check in and out guests effectively receiving all signatures and required information. Create the Pass Along Log for each following day. Enroll guests into the Wyndham Rewards Program and make sure you understand member levels and how they work to pass that along to our guests and team members. Cycle through at least 3 loads each of linens and towels every night. Responsibly manage your time and hours to keep your hours under overtime unless requested otherwise. Also, responsibly manage appropriate times to communicate with management. Start on breakfast for the following day per hotel, breakfast or front desk management's request. Please follow the laminated checklist found on the fridge in the kitchen. Follow all hotel operation and scheduling policies as mandated by supervisors, administration and ownership. Failure to comply may warrant disciplinary actions such as write ups and termination. Maintain a positive atmosphere where hard work does not go unnoticed. This includes congratulating the employee of the month and/or any hard work that assisted you with your duties as that team member will very much appreciate that shoutout. Have a positive attitude about the rewarding systems that we have in place as they are meant to lift the spirits of individuals who had gone above and beyond during the previous month.
