BAE Systems has an opportunity for an Operational Test and Evaluation Test Engineer for the 346 Test Squadron (346 TS). The 346 TS conducts operational test and evaluation to ensure the effectiveness and suitability of Air Force Cyber Weapon Systems.

The candidate will provide advisory assistance to government Test Managers by planning, executing, and reporting for operational test and evaluation. Test Engineers work closely with subject matter experts from the cyber weapon system operators to ensure verified and validated operational requirements are met. Test Engineers also coordinate with Program Management Offices and Air Combat Command to ensure delivered capabilities are effective and suitable. Operational testers also work closely with the developmental test and evaluation teams to shorten the testing timeline by ensuring requirements are tested early but adequately. The ideal candidate will have a solid working knowledge of developing measures of effectiveness (MOE) and measures of suitability (MOS) based on operational requirements.

Required Education, Experience, & Skills

• Associates degree or 7 years relevant experience
• Current 8570 IAT Level II certification
• Experience with Air Force Cyber Weapon Systems
• Experience with the following types of operational test: Operational Assessments (OA), Early Operational Assessments (EOA), Operational Utility evaluations (OUE), Initial Operational Test and Evaluations (IOT&E), Tactics Development and Evaluations (TD&E), Force Development Evaluations (FDE), Combined Operational and Developmental Testing (DT/OT), Developmental Operations testing (DEVOPS)
• Experience in planning, executing, and reporting on operational test and evaluation
• Perform operational testing
• Test, evaluate, and verify hardware and/or software to determine compliance with defined specifications and requirements
• Record and manage test data
• Ability to work in a team environment
• Experience with conducting research on current industry trends regarding testing
• Hold and maintain a current TS /SCI security clearance
