Come join us for the ride! • *Role overview** CarGurus seeks a **Paralegal**to join our growing legal team, with a focus on a broad range of activities relating to CarGurus' customer and vendor contracting, regulatory compliance, and Legal team strategic projects and operations. You will have the opportunity to interact with many areas of the business, work independently, and grow your role and impact as CarGurus pursues new and exciting initiatives. In this role, you will be encouraged to exercise excellent business judgment to seek legal solutions while managing risks and employing resourceful problem-solving skills. • *What you'll do** Contracting • Manage legal aspects of procurement and sales processes. • Collaborate with business partners to obtain documentation and manage communications with outside parties. • Review contracts to confirm they stay in sync with internal policies and procedures. • Ensure that all records are accurate and up to date. • Lead all aspects of electronic signature process. • Provide strategic direction on improving contract systems and processes. Regulatory • Assist in responding to inquiries from regulators, consumers, and dealers. • Manage industry regulatory filings and ongoing compliance. • Support compliance with international regulatory requirements. • Stay on top of changes to legislative/regulatory landscape. Corporate/Litigation • Support M&A and other strategic transactions. • Assist in litigation response and coordination of other legal proceedings. Legal Operations • Project manage Legal team and cross-functional initiatives. • Oversee certain legal billing matters. • Assist in creation of presentations and internal-facing content. • *What you'll bring** • Bachelor's degree required; certification from accredited paralegal program preferred. • 5-10 years of experience in a business/legal setting, including a paralegal role or a related field. • Ability to prioritize work and multi-task in a fast-paced setting • Strong collaboration skills, initiative to take on new projects and be flexible. • *Working at CarGurus** We reward our Gurus' curiosity and passion with best-in-class benefits and compensation, including equity for all employees, both when they start and as they continue to grow with us.
