Responsibilities:Coordinate law office activity, including the drafting subpoenas and coordinating with process servers Draft legal documents, pleadings, and correspondence such as interrogatories, subpoenas, deposition notices, complaints, pretrial orders, legal briefs, and affidavits under the guidance of a lawyer Hold client interviews to gather information about their legal problems Perform administrative duties such as answering phone calls and keeping our case filing system organized so all documents are readily accessible Work with lawyers to prepare for trial by conducting research on legal... articles, preparing and organizing exhibits, organizing and coordinating witnesses, filing motions, and assisting with client meetings Qualifications:Talented communicator and writer Excellent organizational skills, and time-management skills Completion of a nationally-accredited paralegal program strongly preferred 3+ years of legal service experience under an attorney or lawyer in a law firm setting Excellent work ethicOrganized in time and file managementAbility to prioritize, calendar, monitor and meet all deadlinesExcellent writing, grammar and proofing skills with strong attention to detailExperience in tracking billable hoursExperience drafting, editing and finalizing estate planning documents, including, but not limited to, Last Will and Testaments and Trusts, and PleadingsExperience in preparation of deeds and other transfer documentsExperience in preparation of trust, probate, and guardianship accountingsWorking knowledge of local, state and federal rulesExperience in Medicaid/VA a plusExperience with new WA State Guardianship law preferredExperience with filing in Superior Court (including e-filing in Pierce and King Counties)Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Outlook, Word, and ExcelTeam player, professional, with pleasant, positive demeanor; andReady to hit the ground runningMust be willing to undergo a background checkAbout Company
