WHY PUGET SOUND CLEAN AIR AGENCY?
The Agencys vision is for everyone, everywhere to breathe clean, healthy air all the time regardless of who they are, or where they live and to become the most climate-friendly region in the United States...
The Puget Sound Clean Air Agency is a regional government agency created in 1967. Our jurisdiction covers King, Kitsap, Pierce, and Snohomish counties. We achieve our mission by monitoring air quality, sponsoring voluntary initiatives, educating people and businesses about air quality issues, and enforcing state and federal air quality laws. Also, as a part of the Agencys strategic plan development, we are deepening our commitment to equity and community engagement. We value an inclusive environment and equitable approaches to our work. We strive to be consistent yet equitable in our practices and policies, as well as in our external relationships among residents, businesses, and community partners.
The Agency aims to ensure every person in our region has equitable air-related health outcomes and benefits. The Agency works to provide responsive customer service through our regulatory and monitoring work as well as partnering with communities to develop solutions through our voluntary programs.
The Puget Sound Clean Air Agency seeks a qualified, experienced, motivated, and team-oriented Paralegal to provide legal support to Agencys General Counsel and Deputy General Counsel. This position is one of two Paralegals at the Agency and will also work closely with the Public Records Officer and the Compliance Division.
The Paralegal position is a unique opportunity for a dedicated individual to use their skills to help support the Puget Sound Clean Air Agencys goals to protect public health and the environment from air pollution and become the most climate-friendly region in the United States. Our Agency supports a work/life balance by maintaining a 38.75 hour work week, and no requirement to regularly work nights or weekends. This position is represented by the Teamsters 763 collective bargaining unit.
Due to our COVID-19 operational changes, this position is currently hybrid with at least two days a week in our downtown Seattle office. As workload demands dictate and as Agency health and safety guidelines allow, additional office presence may be required. This position is not an exclusively remote-work job, and applicants should expect to work within the downtown Seattle office as scheduled.
The pay range for this position is $71,568 - $91,452 annually, and starting pay is dependent upon experience and qualifications.
