Description Paralegal Specialist - (Part-Time ON-SITE Boston, MA... Our client is the largest secretariat in the commonwealth and is located in Boston, MA. They are responsible for the Medicaid program, child welfare, public health, disabilities, veterans’ affairs, and elder affairs. They oversee the numerous state agencies involved in providing services to these populations in Massachusetts. Due to growth, they are currently seeking an efficient Paralegal Specialist to join their team of experts. You will perform all legal work related to collection activities such as conducting legal research, organize and present information, draft documents, etc. NOTE: This is a part time 3-day per week role. The office is flexible so employees can work any 3 days during the work week (M-F). The new hire will need to report to this role on-site in their Downtown Boston location. Some Of Their Employee Reviews “Great atmosphere, coworkers were like family” “Management provides clear direction and support for executing in a progressive manner” “Overall I enjoy the work and the people I work with” What’s In It For You • $25 to $30 per hour pay rate based on experience • Great organization to have on your resume • Flexible 3 day work week • Strong opportunity for professional and career growth • Supportive and empowering management • Good onboarding program Paralegal Specialist Responsibilities • Manage to schedule, collect relevant materials, maintain complete and organized Certification Unit files • Draft findings letters and other documents in accordance with EOEA regulations and policies • Track pending certification reviews and appeals • Research and analyze statutes, regulations, previous findings letters, and administrative review decisions • Support EOEA’s public records request-response process • Conduct legal and other research Paralegal Specialist Qualifications • Bachelor’s or Associate’s Degree • Paralegal certificate or previous paralegal experience • 2+ years of experience in legal research or legal assistant work • Proficiency with Microsoft Office • Excellent written and oral communication skills There are no costs for candidates utilizing our services as our clients pay for all related hiring fees.
