Qualifications - You must be in one of the following three categories:
• The relative of a current IHG Army Hotels - Colleague.
• The relative of a Civilian DoD employee.
• A Military Dependent.
You must be between the ages of 14 - 17 as of the program start date.
Program Start Date*: 6/26/2023.
Program End Date*: 9/1/2023.
Pay Rate: $17.00/hour.
Hours: You will be working through the week as needed weekday/weekend, not to exceed 8 hours per day, or 40 hours per week in support of the lodging mission for the garrison. *Start/end dates may vary by school district
We are looking for energetic and conscientious teens that are interested in working this summer in the hospitality industry. Our goal is for you to help us provide excellent service to our guest, while at the same time earn a generous paycheck and hopefully spark interest in a career in the hospitality industry.
Your Teen Academy Employment Will Include:
• Working alongside our Room Attendant team to clean and service our guestrooms.
• Work alongside our Houseperson team to clean public areas, bathrooms, trash removal, and restocking of housekeeping carts.
• You may spend a training day with the Maintenance team to understand the mechanical operations of the building *(based on availability)
• You will work in the laundry facility to understand the process flow of the hotels’ linen.
• Work in the breakfast facility to learn about food prep and service *(based on availability)
• Engage in a training day of Front Office operations *(based on availability)
• Join in community service activities.
• Complete an essay review of your Teen Academy experience.
This job requires the ability to perform the following:**
• Carrying or lifting items weighing up to 50 pounds and pushing and or pulling approximately 200 pounds in teamwork efforts.
• Frequently standing up and moving about the facility
• Frequently handling objects and equipment to maintain the facility
• Frequently bending, stooping, and kneeling
**Varies by state a labor law

The hourly range for this role is $15.00 to $50.00.
