Patient Care Technician (PCT) - Acute Rehab Unit
Ascension Providence, Southfield Campus
Full-time, Nights , 36 hours per week
Schedule: 7PM - 7:30AM; Rotating weekends and holidays
Acute Rehab is an inpatient, 16 bed unit. Servicing patients with stroke, back and neck surgery, craniotomies, patients with various neuromuscular disorders (including but not limited to MS, Parkinsons, guillain-barre').

What You Will Do:
Perform basic clinical and non-clinical patient care activities under supervision.
- Aid with movement and placement of patients.
- Assist patients with tending to personal care and activities of daily living.
- Report findings or changes in physical, mental and emotional conditions to nursing staff. Document necessary records.
- Keep patient rooms clean, orderly, and maintains medical equipment.
Licensure / Certification / Registration:
- BLS Provider credentialed from the American Heart Association (AHA) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required. American Red Cross (ARC) CPR for Professional Rescuers card will be accepted upon hire but renewal must be a BLS Provider card from AHA.
- Nurse Aide credentialed from the Michigan Nurse Aide Registry preferred. Any issuing authority accepted.
- High school diploma or GED required.
