Cornerstone Building Brands is seeking a Planning and Scheduling Manager for our US Windows Group.

Purpose/goals

The role of the Planning and Scheduling Manager is designed to support a center-led Scheduling organization, providing Data, Tools, and Direction on the daily scheduling of Orders across the US Windows Group. The Planning / Scheduling Manager will also support the development of standardizing Scheduling Processes across the US Windows Group.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Utilize Planning / Scheduling knowledge and expertise to produce insightful analytical research.

• Collaboration with IT to obtain Data required for each Brand / Facility to Plan / Schedule effectively, ensuring that Customer Expectations are met.

• Collaborate with Sales and Operation Planning Team to fully understand Customer Demand for each Brand / Facility.

• Collaborate with Sales & Operations Planning Team and each Manufacturing Facility, to fully understand Capacity per Product Complex for each Brand / Facility.

• Collaborate with Manufacturing and Procurement Teams as necessary to ensure Schedule alignment.

• Mentor and partner with other Team Members and Schedulers, in framing Planning / Scheduling challenges, Analyzing Information, and Process Standardization.

• Make timely and sound decisions related to Planning and Scheduling. Include appropriate personnel in the Decision-making Process.

• Support and embrace a culture of Continuous Improvement.

• Coordinate, review, create, and analyze Planning / Scheduling Metrics (KPI and PVA) and provide feedback on Trends, Risks and Opportunities to leadership.

• Analyze Planning / Scheduling Network to identify expense reduction opportunities.

• Review KPI or PVA Metrics and Strategize future growth in order to consistently improve Planning / Scheduling Processes.

• Create and communicate effectively to both Internal and External Customers

• Fluent use of Microsoft Office applications (Access, Excel, Word, Power Point, Team, Outlook, Smartsheet, SharePoint, etc.)

• Strong Communication and Written Skills

• Strong Organization Skills

• Ability to analyze data and make recommendations based upon Planning / Scheduling Knowledge

• Understanding of Team, US Windows Group, and the Cornerstone Building Brands Corporate vision, in both day-to-day and Long-Term Planning

• Responsible for Training Planning / Scheduling Team Members and providing Back-up Support for day-to-day operations as needed for the US Windows Group.

• Report out weekly on Summary and Project Updates

• All employees are responsible for working safely as a condition of employment.

• Performs other duties as assigned.

  REQUIREMENTS

  Education and Experience

  Bachelor's degree along with 5 to 7 years' experience in Leading Planning/Scheduling or Supply Chain. OR 12+ years experience in Leading Planning and Scheduling without a degree

  Skills/Abilities

  Proficiency with personal computers, word processing, spreadsheets and effective oral and written communication skills required. Must be able to negotiate movement in all the environs typical to the transportation industry (i.e., enter and egress tractors and trailers, etc). Must be flexible to accommodate a dynamic working environment.
