Black & Veatch’s Specialized Solutions – Information Services team has an exciting opportunity to help develop and grow our Project Management Information Systems (PMIS) software and associated information services across our market sectors that include Government & Environment, Connectivity & Commercial, and Energy & Process. Will provide solutions consulting to energy, telecommunications, water, and government agency clients as part of Black & Veatch’s Specialized Solutions offering. Successful candidates will be skilled in helping clients creatively solve technology challenges related to managing utility infrastructure construction and optimizing their digital investments. Past experience construction management software processes, business process mapping, capital improvement planning, project development preferred. Experience with capital program management, construction management, and enterprise software deployment programs experience a plus.
Position location is flexible but preferred near an existing Black & Veatch Office.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
Experience with administration or configuration with Trimble e-Builder or similar capital, construction, or project management software
Document implementation system design documents
Business process model development
Requirements gathering through workshop, data review, and business process modeling
Ability to lead or collaborate with technical groups representing a wide range of stakeholders
Define and implement user roles, responsibilities, permissions related to user account types
Understanding and proficiency with relational databases and SQL
Configuration based upon design document requirements
Reporting requirements gathering and configuration
Performs analytical, technical, and/or developmental tasks, such as:
System configuration design
System Architecture design
System acceptance testing including integration testing and custom application testing
May develop applications or assist in developing new applications using advanced programming tools and languages
End-user training, go-live support, and post go-live administration as needed
Degree in Computer Science, Construction Management, Information Technology or related field
Two (2) or more years of experience configuring or administering Trimble e-Builder or similar capital, construction, or project management software.
Knowledge of construction management methodologies, processes, and related planning activities
Knowledge of procurement management services, methodologies, processes, and related planning activities associated with capital construction management programs
A minimum total of 8 years of related work experience is typically necessary to move into this level. Graduate work may count as related work experience if directly applicable to job function.
