The Principal Program Manger. Program Manager is responsible for leading and managing Innovation/New Product Development (NPD) and Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) programs for assays/reagents or instruments within a molecular in-vitro diagnostic company with the objective to deliver projects/programs on time and budget that meet business objectives and customer needs.
This position is part of the Hospital Point of Care Business Unit, Program Management Office and will be located in Sunnyvale, CA (or remote). At Cepheid, our mission is to deliver A Better Way to improve patient outcomes by enabling access to molecular diagnostic testing everywhere.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to:
Manage and lead full lifecycle project/ program management cross-functional teams.
Participate in the development and continuous improvement on standard methodologies for project execution and talent development for PMO.
Participate in critical initiatives to strengthen competencies across PMO.
Contribute to improvement and implementation of cross-functional internal processes.
The essential requirements of the job include:
Bachelor’s degree in relevant (bio)pharmaceutical field or chemistry/microbiology/science or engineering related with 12 years of project or program management experience OR Master’s degree with 8 years of experience OR Doctoral degree with 5 years of project management experience.
Proficiency in MS Office applications (Project, PowerPoint, Visio, Outlook, Excel) is required.
Must be able to travel 10%.
It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:
PMP or PgMP certification.
Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
Medical device and/or In Vitro Diagnostic product experience.
Experience in Quality System Regulations (QSR) 21 CFR 820; Design Control: ISO 13485:2003, FDA regulations.
