Job Description:


This individual will work under the supervision of the Program Director to provide administrative support in daily function of the
Community Engagement Implementation Committee, such as coordinating meetings, taking meeting minutes, ordering supplies and
answering institute emails and phone calls. They will assist in updating a database of community projects to be displayed on the
website (uclahealth.org/community engagement). This incumbent will also assist the group in overseeing the development and
implementation of other community engagement efforts, including the allied healthcare workforce program. This individual must also
possess the ability to prioritize tasks independently with minimal supervision. In addition to the administrative duties, the individual
will represent UCLA Heath and the DGSOM at high schools and colleges in presenting the Allied Health Professions Career Toolkit
and coordinate any subsequent scholarship program. He/she will create PowerPoint presentations, forms, brochures and photos/videos to highlight the program within the community.



Ability to perform duties and tasks independently with minimal supervision

Skill in setting priorities which accurately reflect relative importance of job responsibilities and
in coordinating projects from multiple supervisors

Ability to use software: MS Word, Access, Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, Access, and Adobe

Knowledge of University policies and procedures on travel and procurement

Skill in speaking clearly and distinctively using appropriate vocabulary and grammar to obtain
and convey information at various organizational levels within and outside the University

Ability to handle multi-line phone system

Superb attention to detail

Skill in editing for spelling, punctuation, and grammar of typed materials and all written works

Ability to recognize, spell, and use technical and medical terminology appropriately

Ability to type numerical tables of data using format provide and typing skills to quickly and
accurately prepare documents

Ability to seek appropriate staff and other resources when questions regarding format, illegible
writing, or office procedures arise

Experience programming and maintain website. Computer skills and basic html coding

Ability to use software to prepare content and materials: Adobe Acrobat Pro

Skill in editing and managing content for map database using online software: Google Fusion
Tables and Google Drive

Knowledge of competition platforms systems: Changemakers, IdeaScale

Knowledge of software to analyze website statistics: Google Analytics, Site Improve

Ability to work independently to follow through on projects and accomplish established goals
and objects with minimal supervision

Skill in organizing work flow and prioritizing tasks to complete assignments accurately and on

Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with other
staff members and faculty.

Possess excellent communication, interpersonal, problem solving and team building skills

Skills in organizing and maintaining computer & institute files

Working knowledge of Internet as a tool for research and communication
