We are in search of a Property Accountant for Madison Corporate, L.P., the Equus Capital Partners, Ltd. multifamily division. This candidate we are looking for should have 4-6 years accounting, preferably in real estate, college graduate in account or real estate background, understanding of financial statements, very proficient in excel and YARDI, strong communicator, attention to detail. This employee will work in the office full time at our Equus HQ in Newtown Square. Summer/Winter Friday hours.
Oversee all the accounting for 10-15 MF Real Estate Investments - Prepare quarterly investor financials - Prepare monthly operation statements - Maintain/Reconcile the G/L and update supporting detail schedules - Work directly with site management teams, corporate management, internal tax department, external auditors and lenders. - Assist management in budgeting and semi-annual property valuations - Maintain fixed asset detail and update depreciation and amortization software - In addition to accounting for the monthly operations, the accountant will need to record acquisition, refinance and disposition transactions. - Assist acquisition and disposition teams as need - Prepare miscellaneous (Ad Hoc) schedules for management and investors as requested. - Work with lenders submitting replacement and repairs escrow draw request for capital projects - File local returns and licenses renewal as needed.
