The Records Management Specialist (On-Call) provides records management to the National Parks Service in performance of its mission. Responsibilities of this position include interfacing with internal and external stakeholders for planning, prioritization and issue resolution of overall records management activities, such as handling of reports, correspondence and/or related material; conducting records research; and maintaining master files related to program history from inception to disposal.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Essential duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Interacts with and advises customers by applying specific records management knowledge and/or subject matter expertise in the execution of routine and non-routine records management tasks.
Performs records management tasks such as reports, correspondence and/or related material.
Conducts records research into specified areas, prepares and reports findings to the customer.
Maintains master files related to program history, execution and status for the life of the program.
Performs work with established records management procedures under the direction of a records management manager.
Interacts with and advises customers by applying specific program knowledge and/or subject matter expertise in the execution of routine and non-routine tasks.
Manages disposition (lifecycle) of records.
Processes records into an electronic document management system or to a designated records storage facility.
Handles electronic file conversions and management.
Supports technical records management assignments.
Works with records officer/manager to implement program requirements and work processes as directed.
Interfaces routinely with records officer/manager to report project status, performance, assignments received and accomplishments.
Responsible for aiding in own self-development by being available and receptive to all training made available by the company.
Plans daily activities within the guidelines of company policy, job description and supervisor's instruction in such a way as to maximize personal output.
Responsible for keeping own immediate work area in a neat and orderly condition to ensure safety of self and coworkers. Will report any unsafe conditions and/or practices to the appropriate supervisor and human resources. Will immediately correct any unsafe conditions to the best of own ability.
Promotes and encourages a culture of compliance with all applicable rules (federal, state, loc al, Federal Acquisition Regulations, Code of Federal Regulations, Prime Contract requirements, etc.) for themselves and the company as a whole. Fosters an environment in which they will reportanyviolations or reasonably suspected violation of CNI policy, FAR, and/or CFR and are comfortable discussing the myriad compliance, conflict, FAR, CFR, etc. issues that arise during the performance of a government contract.
EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE
Associates degree with a minimum of two (2) years' relevant experience; or an equivalent combination of experience/education.
CERTIFICATES / LICENSES / REGISTRATION
JOB SPECIFIC KNOWLEDGE / SKILLS / ABILITIES
Strong working knowledge of records management laws, regulations, rules, policies and procedures.
Strong working knowledge of the principles and concepts of information governance of various phases of records and information management.
Strong working knowledge of the complete records process and content management framework.
Working knowledge of MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).
Skilled in facilitating teamwork and coordinating efforts for the successful achievement of goals.
Excellent verbal and written communications skills with solid presentation skills.
Exceptional customer service and relationship-building skills.
