Responsibilities

The Preceptor/Lead Registered Nurse will guide, educate, and oversee all medical professionals within the clinic.

 

Medical Professional Job Duties:

• Administers treatments in accordance with Ideal Image policies and procedures.

• Establish and maintain rapport with clients.

• Perform maintenance checks on lasers to ensure systems are operating appropriately.

• Evaluate client’s suitability for treatment.

• Pursue opportunities to educate clients on additional services.

• Maintain cleanliness and appearance of treatment rooms between each client.

• Annotate and post appropriate information and data in the client’s medical record.

• Sustain proficiency through continuous education and trainings.

 

Training

• Conduct training in accordance with Ideal Image policies, procedures and protocols for all new medical professionals who have successfully completed laser hair removal training at the Ideal Image Cosmetic Institute.

• Adapt training style to accommodate different learning styles.

• Complete documentation of trainings for the medical professional file in clinic and provides certifications to Human Resources for the associate’s file.

• Participate in at least one treatment per month, per medical professional to complete an evaluation of the medical professional. Preceptor will discuss evaluations with medical professional and provide feedback and guidance to further develop their skills as a medical professional. Completed evaluations should be filed in medical professional’s file and also sent to Human Resources for the associate’s file.

• Develop and further personal knowledge and training skills.

 

Quality Assurance:

Ensure new medical professionals complete collaborative agreements and/or protocols with supervising medical director.

• Ensure medical professionalsmaintain current license and protocols.

• Review all unsatisfactory assessment forms that have been completed by a medical professional for any client in the clinic and provide guidance and instruction for an ongoing treatment plan for the client. Refer the client to the clinic manager or regional director, when applicable.

• Complete a monthly clinic quality assurance report for the clinic.

• Perform a quality assurance report semiannually and submit tomedical regional.

• Ensure that all incidents are sent via email to IIDC’s General Counsel at ***** within 24 hours.

• Review submitted incident reports and provide appropriate feedback, counseling and additional education, if needed to the medical professional who conducted the treatment.

• Notify or ensure the medical professional notifies the medical director of any incident requiring immediate attention with a phone call.

• Ensure that all medical professionals understand and follow the correct procedures relating to

adverse reactions, risk management, incident report policies, effective documentation and email etiquette.

• Inspect and review random treatment charts monthly to guarantee proper and complete documentation.

• Ensure that medical professionals are taking all required treatment photos and documenting properly.

• Randomly shadow medical professionals in their clinic during treatments. Provide feedback and guidance to develop skills. Provide further training if needed.

 

General Supervision and Management:

• Create and oversee medical professional treatment schedule in accordance with clinic need, requested PTO/vacation, etc.

• Establish tasks and daily operational duties for all medical professionals within each clinic, including stocking treatment rooms, ordering supplies, cleaning treatment rooms, cryogen disposal, etc.

• Work with medical regional to assist with ongoing coaching, counseling, verbal and written corrective action of medical professionals as needed. Communication/Leadership

• Attend the required monthly lead medical professional/medical director conference call conducted by the medical regional.

• Continuously communicate with the medical regional to address specific topics of concern, provide updates and receive feedback.

• Build a professional relationship with the medical director of the clinic to facilitate ongoing communication and ensure that his/her contact information is current and accessible to all medical professionals.

• Follow-up with the medical director after each clinic visit to address concerns or issues that the medical director may have and to verify that he/she has reviewed all charts and incident reports since last visit.

• Keep clinic associates updated with any new policy and procedure changes relating to the medical side of the business.

• Evaluate, develop and further personal knowledge and training skills.

 

Client Relations:

• In collaboration with the clinic manager/area manager, address and attend to all clients who have concerns regarding treatment results or incidentswhere the medical professional feels they can no longer accommodate.

Supplies and Ordering

• Manages clinic medical inventory and ordering from Sharps Compliance.

Vendor Relationships

• Maintain vendor relationships and act as a point of contact for vendors.

• Schedule any in-clinic vendor trainings and educational seminars

• All other duties as assigned.
