Identifies the physiologic changes induced by general, regional, and local anesthesia and uses this information to plan appropriate nursing care.
Identifies the pathophysiology of trauma, and uses
this information to plan appropriate nursing care.
Directs patient care in an individual operating room.
Prepares the operating room for surgical procedures.
Maintains a surgically safe environment during surgery.
Identifies all surgical instrumentation by name and describes its function.
-functions as scrub nurse
-functions as circulating nurse
-schedules a surgical procedure
-prepares instruments/supplies for sterilization
-selects instruments and equipment for inclusion in routine and specialty baskets
Requirements
Current PA RN License
Procedural experience is preferred.
RN to provide patient care and circulate for procedures in the OR/IR Suite.
Part of Neuro specific team.
