This responsible skilled licensed nursing position provides a variety of direct clinical services to clients, working with a physician, medical team, clinical team, and support behavioral personnel in a residential setting. Duties will include monitoring, recording and reporting symptoms or changes in an individual's conditions and being tasked with maintaining accurate reports, medical histories, administering medication, and treatment, observing reactions or side effects. Registered nurses also perform diagnostic tests, supervise less skilled licensed or certified nurses, and prepare clients for examination and treatment. Assessment completion may also be required, including a thorough nursing, pain and social risk assessment. Registered Nurse Duties and Requirements: Implement Celadon orders as directed by policy, procedure and medical director. Provide direction to both Behavioral Healthcare Technicians and Mental Healthcare Technicians daily. Assess and implement protocols and treatments using the assessment tools. Provide accurate and timely management of pharmaceuticals per formulary requirements including observation while self-administration of medication, transcription of orders, administration of PRN medications, and clarification of all orders and all appropriate follow ups as needed. Evaluates, identifies, and implements effective infection control practices and follows reporting standards. Provide timely and accurate documentation to the electronic/paper medical record during and before the end of each shift and relay the accurate verbal/written information within the treatment team to ensure continuity of care using appropriate standards of nursing practice. Functions as a member of the interdisciplinary team and assists with the coordination and provision of services. Monitor and maintain pharmaceutical supplies and medications related to nursing care. Assist Clients with medication issues involving order, supply, and logistical matters. Safely and respectfully interact, redirect and assist clients during periods of emotional or psychological breaks. Safely, accurately, and effectively implements and documents client's care in support of therapeutic modalities. Adherence to Celadon Recovery's Policies and Procedures, Time and Attendance Standards, Code of Ethics and Boundaries. Registered Nurse Qualifications: Ability to understand and oversee medication processes with a basic knowledge of detoxification assessment and treatment procedures for both Mental Health Residents and those suffering from Substance Use Disorders. Familiarity with the disease concept of addiction and knowledge of mental health treatment procedures. .
