Description:
Trinity Health Of New England is looking for an EXPERIENCED POST ANESTHESIA CARE UNIT (PACU ) Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team of mission-driven healthcare innovators at Sant Francis Hospital and Medical Center.
Work Hours/Highlights:
Part-Time – Per Diem - Rotational Shifts.
Monday thru Friday, no weekend or holiday commitment.
Hours are 5:30 am thru 6:30 pm, with 8-hour varying shifts.
You Will Be Responsible For the following:
The Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for delivering patient care for an assigned group of patients and directing and coordinating all nursing care according to established standards of practice. Uses the nursing process to assess needs, plan care, implement the plan, and evaluate the patient’s responses and progress toward goals. Collaborates with colleagues, physicians, healthcare team members, and the patient and family to ensure safe, effective, and efficient care delivery.
Requirements :
Education : Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing. Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree preferred.
Registered Nurse Licensure (RN): Connecticut’s current registered nurse (RN) licensure.
Experience: 1-3 years of PACU or Pre/Post Surgery nursing experience is required. Position WILL NOT train.
Requires the ability to practice utilizing ASPAN (American Society of Peri Anesthesia Nursing) recommended standards and guidelines.
ACLS and PALS are required within six months of hire.
BLS or CPR certification: Current American Heart Association or American Red Cross will be accepted.
Ability to pass drug screenings and background checks
