A Research Project Manager is needed for an American multinational corporation specializing in Internet-related services and products in the Mountain View, CA (hybrid) area. This position will be supporting the goals and activities to advance research related to a full future device (activities span multiple domains including as display technology, sensors, systems engineering, etc).

responsibilities:

  • Driving procurement activities to enable timely technology evaluation of deep tech partners (by partnering with the EPS/procurement team).

  • Regular monitoring and follow-ups for planned OKRs for Binocular R&D Glasses Program and Waveguide Research

  • Lab Equipment/Planning - WAT and MTV

  • Management and timely renewal of team licenses & subscriptions

  • Supporting and driving execution of regular R&D program reviews from a tactical/organization standpoint

  • Supporting organization of R&D tasks

Mandatory Skills/Qualifications:

Education (Degree and field): BS in Engineering (preferably ME or EE)

Total years experience in what industry, discipline or responsibility :

  • 3+ years experience working as a Project or Program Manager in HW domain (mechanical/electrical).

  • Experience in Optics and Display industry a big plus.

Skills or processes candidates must have to be considered for role:

  • Experience in building schedules and Gantt charts (using Microsoft Project or SmartSheets), the GSuite (Google slides, sheets, docs).

  • Good understanding of project planning, dependencies, resourcing, cross-functional team management is a must.
