The Opportunity: We are seeking a Restaurant Bartender, an exciting opportunity to be part of the new Four Seasons Hotel and Private Residences Nashville! This individual will provide support to the Hotel’s world-class restaurant and bar, right through the entrance on the first floor of the building. Charm, the ability to make a quick rapport, and expert craftsmanship will make a successful candidate for this role. Responsibilities Include (but are not limited to): Prepare and serve a selection of wines, spirits, and mixed drinks while ensuring proper pouring, mixing, and blending according to established recipes and established Four Seasons Standards Confirm guest orders, including any special needs or requests, from the lounge server using the hotel’s... point-of-sales system; check completed orders with the guest’s original order Service and take orders from guests seated at the bar area offering interesting, and vivid descriptions of each item’s, origin, taste, and preparation methods Maintain a working knowledge of liquors, wines, beets, ports, Armagnacs, eau de vies, cognacs and specialty drinks Anticipate guest needs, ascertain satisfaction, and offer suggestions, and respond urgently and appropriately to guest concerns and requests Properly and accurately close guest checks; process cash and credit card payments; properly settle voided checks or complimentary items Maintain high level of cleanliness, organization, and stocking at the bar? Execute same level of food knowledge and sequence of service as restaurant servers? Ensure each guest is greeted promptly, courteously, graciously with eye contact, and a smile? Work harmoniously and professionally with co-workers and supervisors. Preferred Qualifications and Skills: Experience working a minimum of 3-4 years in Food & Beverage and previous experience as a Bartender Thrive working in a fast paced, and large team environment? The Bartender position may require continuous standing for up to 8 hours a day and requires the ability to lift up to 50lbs Knowledge of Nashville and surrounding areas, highly desirable, however not required Preferred experience in a luxury hotel or resort Must be flexible with schedule - Able to work weekdays, weekends, and holidays shifts Strong oral presentation skills Ability to carry and balance a tray Ability to accurately process cash and credit card transactions Ability to multi-task in a high volume and demanding environment Strong problem-solving skills, ability to handle difficult situations and guests Requires reading, writing and oral proficiency in the English language?
