VCA Bay Area Veterinary Specialists is a multi-doctor, 24-hour emergency/specialty practice in San Leandro, California-located just 15 miles south of Berkeley, in the East Bay.

VCA Bay Area Veterinary Specialists (BAVS) is seeking experienced Credentialed Veterinary Technicians, Veterinary Assistants, and Technician Assistants to join our well-established 24-hour specialty referral practice in sunny San Leandro, California-located just 15 miles south of Berkeley in the East Bay.

Positions are available for:
- Cardiology (Veterinary Assistant/Technician or RVT)

-Oncology(Veterinary Assistant/Technician or RVT)

-Neurology(Veterinary Assistant/Technician or RVT)

-Emergency(Veterinary Assistant/Technician or RVT)

Joining the VCA BAVS team is a great opportunity to utilize your skills, work with a tight-knit dynamic crew, and expand your knowledge. At BAVS we focus on continuing education and training and support our team members as they build a career in veterinary medicine. We offer generous signing bonuses for qualified RVTs and also compensate late night and weekends with a shift differential. We have recently renovated our emergency facility so there is a great opportunity to work in a BRAND NEW building with the most current equipment. We are looking for candidates to join our VERY busy Oncology Service. Team members assist with advanced diagnostics, chemotherapy administration, and the most current treatment modalities.

The ideal candidate is a team player who is a friendly, dependable, emotionally intelligent, a positive multi-tasker with excellent communication and client service skills. 1 to 2 years' experience in general practice or 6 months-1 year in fast-paced emergency is preferred and prior experience in animal husbandry and restraint is a requirement for these positions at VCA BAVS. We also welcome RVT students with a minimum 3-6 month clinical experience.
