Provides a variety of senior level administration and assistance for all trust officers with administration of personal trust, agency, conservatorship, estates and IRA accounts. Communicate directly with clients regarding account matters and client inquiries.  Participates in client meetings and independently handles designated client matters. 

Responsibilities

  • Works with and provides strong back up to Trust Officers in areas of client service
  • and interaction by serving as additional point of contact for clients, beneficiaries, attorneys and other related parties. 
  • Assists Trust Officers with estate administration, including gathering and disbursement of assets, determining date of death values, filing insurance claims and preparing probate inventory. Communicates with beneficiaries and attorneys, assembles information for attorneys and tax preparers.
  • Assists with duties related to trust real estate.
  • Monitors and maintains accurate market values for farm, commercial and residential real estate.
  • Monitors commercial leases and communicates with tenants concerning rent increases, real estate tax and insurance reimbursements.
  • Handles communication and documentation related to client accounts.
  • Responds to requests and questions from clients and co-workers in a timely, efficient and professional manner.
  • Participates in client meetings and meets with clients on own
  • Maintains trust real estate insurance records and Public Liability coverage.
  • Handles communications with clients, monitors premium payments, and provides required notices for Crummy trusts and maintains insurance policy pricing on trust accounting system.
  • Maintains familiarity with client account histories and objectives.
  • Reviews and approves expenditures and bills related to client accounts.
  • Completes new account and closing of account paperwork.
  • Prepares annual accounting and fee statements as required by the Court for trusts and Conservatorships
  • Maintains ongoing knowledge of trust administration support including trust accounting system, and trust department and bank wide policies and procedures.
  • Other duties may be assigned

Qualifications

Bachelors Degree required, specifically concerning business related coursework or a combination of education and related experience: a background in trust administration (5-7 years) is preferred; an additional 5-7 years of related office, investment, trust or financial institution experience, required.
