The ideal candidate for the Lead Aircraft Electrical Systems Engineer position will ensure engineering excellence and efficient production and availability of company and military aircraft modifications. The Lead Electrical Systems Engineer will be responsible to execute engineering design, development, test, and analysis of aircraft and aircraft systems. This position will communicate and collaborate with aircraft maintenance, pilots, engineering team members, and program management in support of the rapid modification, verification, and fielding of new, and advanced technology.
Skills & Qualifications:
-3+ years of Experience working with and designing electrical drawings, circuit schematics, and block diagrams using CAD for Avionic systems
-Knowledge in sound engineering principles, electronic and electrical systems with ability to reverse engineer electrical components.
-Knowledgeable of commercial and military aircraft power, including three-phase and 270vDC; aircraft analog interfaces like variable DC and AC voltages.
-Knowledgeable of computer architecture, interfaces, and/or standards forl: Ethernet, RS232/422/485 serial, MIL-STD-1533, ARINC 429, and USB; (LAN), Virtual LANs (VLANS).
-Ability to troubleshoot aircraft electrical and electronic systems and reverse engineer electrical components.
-Ability to troubleshoot RF, antennas, interfaces for Communication, Navigation, and Identification (CNI) systems, and airborne GPS/INS systems.
-Ability to support airworthiness approval process, including MIL-HDBK-516 and FAA Federal Aviation Regulations (FAR).
-Ability to conform to U.S. DoD Communications Security (COMSEC) and Transmission Security (TRANSEC) methods and procedures.
-Knowledge and understanding of commercial and military aircraft analog interfaces including selsyn, synchro, sin/cos, and variable DC and AC voltages.
-Demonstrated knowledge of Link-16, TCTS, and other aircraft data networks.
-Ability to handle classified materials and Controlled Cryptographic Items (CCI) utilizing government- approved network and email systems.
-Experience with Helmet Mounted Cueing Systems (HMCS) preferred.
-Experience with Air-to-Air Radars and Radar Warning Receiver systems preferred.
-Experience with Garmin Flight Management Systems (FMS) advantageous.
