Join us in lowering the cost of access tospace and enabling Blue Origin's vision of millions of people living andworking in space to benefit Earth.As part of a diverse and hardworking team, you will contribute to the designof the flight software for future space vehicles. As part of a small,passionate, and accomplished team, you will be responsible for leading theteam tasked with developing fault tolerant flight software responsible for theoverall command and control of an autonomous space vehicle. This includesdefining architectures and requirements, coordination of team activities,and leadership of development and verification planning. This position willdirectly impact the history of space exploration, and your dedicatedcommitment and detailed attention will further the cause of safe andrepeatable spaceflight. You will create and maintain drawing and diagrams forpower distribution, system grounding and bonding.We are looking for someone to apply their technical expertise, leadershipskills, and commitment to quality to positively impact safe human spaceflight.Responsibilities:Develop application software requirements in coordination with systemsengineering and subsystem ownersGuide the development and implementation of vehicle manager, subsystemapplications, mission sequencing, systems management, and faultmanagement for the vehicleWork with the Platform Software team to define software interfaces, APIs andintegration requirementsSupport the vehicle Fault Management and Autonomy Lead to establish integratedvehicle autonomous behaviors, modes, and statesCoordinate the technical activities of the team developing vehicle andsubsystem management applicationsWork with the flight the systems engineering team to develop verification andcertification plans for safety critical softwareOversee efforts to integrate application flight software components, createand run unit tests, validate on Hardware-in-the-Loop and release real-timesolutionsSupport the integrated product manager to identify and track program andtechnical risk, develop and maintain schedule, resource allocation, and budgetDefine and implement software development best practicesQualifications:B.S. degree in computer engineering, electrical engineering, computerscience, mathematics, physics, aerospace, or related field, orequivalent experience.12+ years of software development experience including 5+ years oftechnical management and 5+ years of development experience for spacecraftExperience in autonomy, sequencers, state machines, and/or faultmanagement in a mission- or safety-critical environmentDemonstrated experience in requirement derivation, management and verificationUnderstanding of...
