JOB SUMMARY
The Senior Manager, Integrated Strategy & Planning will help drive forward projects to ensure that we properly plan, integrate, measure and operate efficiently across Global Marketing (GBAM). This role encourages communication, integration, innovation and optimization across GBAM and partnering teams. He/ She will assist with the continued optimization of the Marketing Operating Model by managing workstreams and providing overall project management support and cross-functional collaboration. The Operating Model is inclusive of Strategic Marketing Planning & Budgeting, Go-To-Market Owned Channel Planning, and Marketing Performance.
CANDIDATE PROFILE
Education and Experience
5+ years’ experience in the marketing or hospitality industry, demonstrating a pattern of exceptional performance AND
4-year degree from an accredited university in Business Administration, Marketing or a related major
Exceptional project management skills and ability to manage multiple projects from start to finish and prioritize appropriately; includes experience with tools to develop and manage project plans
Strong written and verbal presentation skills, including experience preparing for and facilitating meetings and developing presentations for leadership meetings and reports
Experience with collaborative programs such as Sharepoint and Workfront
Experience reviewing and drawing insights from financials and marketing performance reports
Demonstrated ability to deliver results when faced with complexity and ambiguity
CORE WORK ACTIVITIES
Leads Integrated Intake, Prioritization and Alignment of Message / Channel Prioritization Process
Leads the Message / Channel prioritization and alignment process for go-to market marketing programs seeking support and activation across Marriott owned channels
Facilitates intake/brief process by working with Marketing teams and Channels owners to ensure prioritization of key marketing campaigns
Leads facilitation of forums to ensure message readiness, resolve message or priority conflict, and understand message performance & insights to inform future campaign optimization
Fosters collaboration across cross-functional teams to meet prioritization process objectives
Maintains and optimizes the tools and workflow to facilitate the prioritization process
Co-leads GBAM Operating Model Management & Evolution
Responsible for defining and managing Marketing Operating Model workstreams, deliverables and timing for execution
Partners with the Sr. Director, Marketing Planning to manage and optimize the Marketing Operating Model workstreams, ranging from strategy to process execution to performance management
Partners with the Sr. Director, Marketing Planning to facilitate alignment with stakeholders across the organization, including Marketing teams, Channels, Analytics, etc., to optimize and evolve the Operating Model
Maintains processes and workflow tools to manage the Marketing Operating Model
Supports Strategic Planning Process for GBAM Operating Model
Supports the Sr Director, Marketing Planning with the development and optimization of marketing strategy, in the year for the year
Helps develop supporting tools, including meeting forum agendas, templates, and other inputs for deliverable execution
Facilitates the collection of and maintenance of Marketing Plans across GBAM leaders
rives Marketing Performance Reporting
Partners with Insights, Strategy and Analytics team on monthly performance reports for prioritized messages/campaigns and facilitation of reviews with Marketing leaders
Owns the development and updates to GBAM leadership reports (Marketing and Brand Performance Updates, Consumer Operations Quarterly Update)
Additional Responsibilities
Collects updates from partnering teams and updates in master Marketing Calendar
Supports development of accompanying decks and executive materials, as needed
