Job Overview

The Senior Program Coordinator is responsible for the administrative management of all aspects of the Nurse-Midwifery/ Women's Health Nurse Practitioner Program ( NM / WHNP ) in duties that include but are not limited to:

  • Develop and maintain knowledge of all aspects of the programs and operations of the department, supporting all academic, administrative, and regulatory functions of the department and programs by utilizing the skills of communication, organization, data management, and collaboration

  • Assist in developing, implementing, and monitoring a program's services; and may assist in administering program budgets and projects and overall operations

  • Apply general professional-level knowledge and principals of function to solve problems requiring the identification and analysis of non-routine factors

  • With independent judgment and discretion, determine or recommend best course of action

Work Interactions

Reporting to the Program Director, NM/WHNP Program, the Senior Program Director serves as the focal point for communications among the faculty, students, alumni, school administration, and relevant stakeholders for the p rogram .

They collaborate with program directors, faculty, administrative leadership of GUSON and the distance learning vendor; coordinate closely with other program coordinators, internal and external relevant stakeholders - such as GU Simulation lab coordinator, operations, distance learning vendor, admissions, and Student Academic Affairs); work independently and may supervise student workers.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree

  • 2 to 3 years of office/administrative experience

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Highly organized with ability to efficiently manage multiple projects simultaneously and work to completion of deadlines

  • Detail oriented with solid critical thinking, problem-solving and interpersonal skills

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills

  • Ability to work cooperatively and effectively with faculty and students, as well as to work independently.
