We are looking for a Server whose experience and talent will compliment and inspire our growing Culinary Services Team. Our ‘Acacia’ restaurant offers our Residents casual-upscale experiences in lunch, dinner and brunch on Sundays. Our offerings are crafted from Fresh, Real and Local ingredients and served to our in a warm and inviting atmosphere. We are changing senior living. Our compensation for server roles begins at minimum wage, more with experience, our model does not allow gratuities. We have excellent benefits, including complimentary meals, ‘pay on demand’, free parking and we provide laundered service uniforms. Evening Shifts generally end by no later than 8:30 pm. Part time positions require a minimum commitment of 3 or more shifts per week, full time positions are 40 hours per week and work both lunch and dinner. We serve 365 days a year, including holidays and weekends. Roles in Culinary Services at The Overlook are also considered ‘essential’ and may require your availability in times of inclement weather or declared states of emergency’. Primary responsibilities:
Provide an engaged and attentive dining experience to our Residents and their guests conveyed with genuine hospitality and smiles in a formal, upscale dining setting.
Full table service includes but is not limited to - greeting guests upon arrival, taking meal orders, serving meals in a respectful, compassionate manner, clearing and resetting tables.
Work is performed in accordance with all policies, sanitation standards, and regulations
Work performed requires standing for extend periods of time, ability to balance trays of plated meals, eye-hand coordination such as pouring beverages table side, bending, reaching and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs comfortably and more with assistance
Completing assigned “side work” that supports the efforts of the Team, such as polishing silverware, folding napkins, brewing coffee, preparing stations for service, etc.
Demonstrate a high degree of respect, attention, patience and care toward our residents and their guests
Role requires the operation of point of sale software
Be on time for assigned shifts
Qualifications:
Prior restaurant, hotel, club or catering experience is preferred but not required.
Must be at least 16 years of age.
Great communication skills and the ability to multi-task and manage time effectively are required.
Basic computer skills are required.
