Summary This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for Certain Personnel of the DoD Workforce to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service. About the Position: The incumbent will serve as a Social Worker (Family Advocacy Program ) for Reynolds Army Health Clinic (RAHC), Fort Sill, OK. Applications will be reviewed and referred for selection on 1st February 2023; and again, at closing date on 16th February 2023. * Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive and complex risk assessments, clinical interviews, and psychosocial assessment of children and adults. Make treatment recommendations to the multi-disciplinary Family Advocacy Program Case Review Committee team. Obtain relevant data from various agencies to compile information and present for a determination of abuse or neglect to the Family Advocacy Program Case Review Committee. Analyze the information and use professional judgment concerning difficult decisions that may have serious consequences to the child or the family. Provide therapeutic treatment to victims, offenders and family members of those involved in domestic violence or child abuse or neglect. Degree: Master's degree (or higher degree) in social work from a school accredited by the Council on Social Work Education. (You MUST submit a copy of your transcript with your application package) Licensure: A current, active, valid, unrestricted clinical license to practice Social Work independently, offered by a U.S. State, District of Columbia, Commonwealth, territory, or jurisdiction is required. Practicum: This position requires 2 years of experience working in the field of child abuse and domestic abuse. In addition to meeting the basic requirement above, to qualify for this position you must also meet the qualification requirements listed below: Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes assessing incidents of domestic abuse and/or child abuse/neglect cases; interviewing victims and offenders; and developing treatment plans based on identified problems. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11). Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For a GS-12, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted.
