We are looking for an individual who: • Values collaboration with likeminded teammates • Enjoys tackling challenging, complex problems using both new and existing technologies • Exudes a desire to continuously learn, grow, contribute to a learning culture, and help educate all members of the team • Possesses an agile mindset • Appreciates the stability of a global family-owned enterprise • Aspires to be part of something bigger than themselves and to contribute to feeding the world • Seeks a positive work/life balance • Has a passion for people Key Responsibilities • Develop and configure solutions, enhancements and fixes to technologies supporting the business • Build and maintain effective internal and external partnerships with customers and vendors to ensure a high level of application service delivery • Drive knowledge sharing between supporting teams to continually improve our overall knowledge base • Manage production deployments to ensure timely resolution to defects and enhancements when required • Perform unit testing of deployments in development environment to ensure minimal customer impacts • Participate in the team’s engineering support rotation Relevant Experience • Bachelor’s degree in CS or a relevant engineering discipline preferred • We are open to either junior (1-5 years’ experience) or senior (5+ years’ experience) candidates • Strong understanding of object-oriented principles. We primarily leverage C# for back-end development, but are open to candidates having object-oriented expertise in other languages such as Go, Java, Python, TypeScript, etc. • Strong understanding of common software design patterns and software development best practices • Strong experience with Git • Experience in database development using SQL and the ability to breakdown complex stored procedures and optimize query performance • Experience with Windows, Linux or Kubernetes operating environments, Azure or AWS public cloud, and DevOps principles and practices such as CI/CD and IaC is a plus • Interest/experience in event-driven development, Message-Oriented Architecture, Containerization, and/or Domain-Driven design a plus Job Requisition ID: 10946 Travel Required: Less than 10% Location(s): Simplot Headquarters - Boise Country: United States • *The J.R.
