Job Description:
The Issues Management Resolved by Line of Business team sits within the Global Operations Business Controls, Remediation and Regulatory Engagement Team,which is part of the Global Operations Management, Resiliency and Client Programs organization.
The Senior Business Control Specialist is responsible for the validation of evidence submitted to resolve Audit Issues and evaluation of Issue summaries, risk justification scoring and action plans. Candidate will deep dive into the subject matter of all assigned audit Issues, challenge gaps in evidence expectations based on prior experience or the latest risk trends, be intellectually curious, relentless in pursuing the facts, and have unwavering confidence in communicating their point of view.
Some Duties & Responsibilities:
+ Ensure that the supporting evidence provided by process owners for milestones are on-time and adequate
+ Provide final approval to resolve/close for an assigned issue portfolio, including both management and audit-identified issues
+ Provide issue status updates to management
+ Perform periodic reviews of resolved and closed Issues todetermine if processes and controls are still in place to support the remediation effort.
+ This role is an individual contributor position
Required Skills & Abilities:
+ Workingknowledge of issues management and platforms and tools used
+ Ability to establish credibility at all levels of the organization and influence others to achieve goals without a direct reporting relationship
+ Ability to challenge in a firm, but non-confrontational manner
+ Ability to multi-task across multiple open audit issues that are at various stages of completion
+ Ability to execute with accuracy, precision, and attention to detail
+ Able to deliver quality work timely and independently
+ Proactive approach – ability to connect the dots, look across, and a love of problem-solving
+ Competency with Microsoft Office: Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel
