Description:
The Sr. IT Support Specialist manages the support process to end users for basic computer, application, system, device, access, and hardware issues. Identifies, researches, and resolves the most complex technical issues. Responds to phone, email, and online requests for technical support. Documents, tracks, and monitors the issue using applicable systems and tools. Coordinates with other teams or specialists to resolve issues. Responsible for the resolution of escalated issues of higher difficulty.
Responsibilities: Oversees the support ticket system for employee incident reporting, tracking, and resolution
Supervises and provides technical support related to computer systems, hardware, and software
Answers complex queries and addresses system and user perplexing issues in a timely/professional manner
Works with the IT team and interacts with system and computer users across the company
Onboards and offboards users
Trains users on systems and computer functions
Supervises the daily system performance, troubleshoot issues, and follows-up/follows-through with essential aspects of the day-to-day functions
Maintains computer systems and serves as a point of contact in the event of a system failure
Responsible for PCs, Printers, and related equipment (monitor, keyboard, mouse, hard drive, etc.)
Schedules user PCs maintenance checks, ensuring upgrades and configurations are performed timely
Oversees the inventory process of all equipment, software, and license users
Installations, configurations, and upgrades PC software
Drafts and creates/updates process and procedure manuals for Manager approval
Assigned to support processes that are complex and/or critical in nature
Remains up to date with advances in technology and industry best practices
Remains current with skills by attending training classes, independent research, and seminars as needed
Point person to assign complex technical and business matters
Assigned a team lead role for a work group performing advanced, complex project related tasks
Mentors staff in order to their skill/knowledge through advice, coaching, and training opportunities
Performs other related duties as assigned
Qualifications: Bachelors\'in Computer Science or related discipline preferred. Min of an Associates degree required
Minimum of 10years of related experience
