What you’ll be doing: • Manage all aspects of electronic discovery, including litigation holds, document collection, document searching, document review, and document production, under attorney supervision • Serve as the Legal Department’s expert on e-discovery processes and on operating the company’s e-discovery systems • Handle the responses to third-party subpoenas, including gathering documents/data and corresponding with the government and private parties who sent the subpoenas • The position will work independently on routine subpoenas and will work under attorney supervision for more complex subpoenas • Monitor and maintain the company’s global portfolio of intellectual property (IP), with a particular focus on its trademark portfolio • Responsible for trademark applications, prosecution, statements of use, and other trademark maintenance • Work directly with business clients to address and resolve trademark-related matters, including conducting trademark clearance searches and researching potential infringements of the company’s trademarks • Monitor the company’s system of incoming service-of-process and determine where each matter needs to be sent for handling • Assist with other types of general corporate paralegal work as needed Qualifications : What you bring to the table: • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to write in a clear and concise manner • Excellent judgment, knowing when to escalate issues to attorney level • Highly refined computer skills- associate must be computer and internet literate and be able to work in various databases, both internal and external • Must be able to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously • Must be highly organized and able to track and meet deadlines • Must be a self-starter who takes the initiative to drive matters to a successful outcome • Must be willing to self-educate in keeping up with legal requirements and business changes • Must have strong interpersonal skills, be diplomatic and flexible, and be able to engender trust and confidence with associates at many levels throughout the company • Must be comfortable interacting with government officials and outside attorneys in responding to third-party subpoenas • Must be a team player who thrives in a fast-paced and dynamic environment and seeks out opportunities to improve effectiveness and efficiency What’s needed- Basic Qualifications • Specialized Schooling/Associate Degree • 6+ years of paralegal experience in a large law firm or corporate in-house setting What’s needed- Preferred Qualifications • Bachelor’s Degree • Paralegal certification and/or e-discovery specialist certification • Extensive experience with electronic discovery (including large document productions) • Extensive experience with intellectual property (particularly trademarks) • Experience working with third parties in both cooperative and potentially adversarial scenarios • Advanced technological capabilities and fluency with I.T. systems, concepts, and terminology We Offer: • Inclusive culture with associate-led Business Resource Groups • Flexible PTO (22 days) and Holiday Schedule (7 observed paid holidays) • Online and Retail Discounts, Company Match 401(k), Physical and Mental Health Wellness programs, and more perks and benefits Interested in joining the team?
