PRIMARY PURPOSE OF POSITION
Engage in job duties outlined below, to reduce risk exposure in areas of cyber and physical security policy development and regulatory commitments; and to promote our mission of safeguarding the people, property, reputation and shareholder value of the corporation. PRIMARY DUTIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES - Engage internal and external stakeholders and industry groups to identify, assess and response to security-relevant policy developments and commitments. - Support and conduct sophisticated analyses and prepare executive–ready reports to support corporate positions - Conduct activities to identify policy threats and collect intelligence on upcoming initiatives - Conduct research and provide statistical, financial, and operational information - Conduct activities to track, maintain, analyze, and provide current and relevant information for policy development/impact scorecards and/or key performance indicators (KPIs) - Fulfill the role of subject matter expert on security public policy matters, as applicable - Provide guidance on strategic and tactical levels re Exelon’s approach to public policy positions - Gather, analyze, and disseminate policy intelligence to key stakeholders - Develop written reports and oral briefings. - Support executives and other leaders who represent the corporation and speak to policy positions
JOB SCOPE - Interface with management and personnel across the Enterprise - Teach junior team members about concepts, theories, practices, and principles relating to security public policy - Work under minimal supervision, following standard procedures to accomplish assigned tasks
ACCOUNTABILITIES: - Support engagement with internal and external stakeholders and industry groups to identify, assess and response to security-relevant policy developments and commitments. - Research, analyze, assess and disseminate policy intelligence to key stakeholders - Support executives, leaders and SMEs in preparing positions, briefings and responses to security policy developments and external inquiries - Track, trend and report on security policy developments and commitments
Qualifications
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
5 years of experience in policy, cyber security, or relevant experience
Ability to understand and communicate customer issues
Strong communication skills, both written and oral
Knowledge of PC/desktop workstation applications: Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint
Understanding of standards methods, processes, practices, business fundamentals, and performance metrics in public policy
Ability to provide basic analysis and intelligence gathering, forecasting, planning, scheduling, analytical and statistical problem solving, and financial and budget analysis
Basic analytical skills for project evaluation, including the analysis of departmental projects with economic, financial, risk, and decision factors
Strong analytical, problem solving, and project management skills
Ability to analyze organizational data and basic problems, and interpret and recommend alternative courses of action
Experience presenting to large and sophisticated audiences
Comfortable interacting with internal and external executives
Ability to travel, both domestically and internationally
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS - Advanced degree
