Is responsible for the accurate and timely performance of complex quantitative and/or qualitative analyses. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: EDUCATION, CERTIFICATION, AND/OR LICENSURE: 1. Must be a graduate of an accredited school with an Associate Degree in Medical Technology. 2. Must obtain a license in the State of WV within 3 months of hire. (DOES NOT PERTAIN TO HT (ASCP). 3. Certification from an approved agency (ASCP, AMT). Obtains various specimens, including blood and performs a variety of routine laboratory tests by: a. Performing venipunctures and finger sticks to obtain blood if necessary. b. Preparing and labeling specimens for testing. c. Calibrating and operating various laboratory equipment. d. Preparing necessary reagents. e. Recording details of tests. f. Maintaining quality control on all assignments. 2. Completes related test forms and reports findings to concerned nurses or physicians. 3. Maintains the cleanliness and readiness of the laboratory and related equipment. 4.
