Additional positions may be filled from this announcement up to 90 days after it closes. Responsibilities Serves as the Store Worker in a Defense Commissary Agency (DeCA) location. The primary purpose of this position is to perform duties such as handling, marking, preparing and maintaining stock levels within an assigned area of responsibility (Grocery, Produce, Meat, etc.). Position responsibilities include: Maintain adequate stock of resale items. Identify any obvious spoilage, damage, and out-of-date merchandise Receive supplies, equipment, and resale items. Operate a computer system that calculates and mark prices, and determine weights of merchandise. Transport items to shelving and display areas. Arrange stock on shelves and in display areas. By the announcement closing date current civilian employees must have completed at least 90 days of federal civilian service since their latest nontemporary appointment from a competitive referral certificate, known as time after competitive appointment.
