MISSION / SUMMARY:
The Supervisor is the first line leader for the Paper Department and works rotating shift. This position is key to shift operation and productivity, supervising the union hourly workforce assigned to the department. The successful candidate will understand and align business operations and Paper as he/she executes their role to exceed expectations and align with GPI business, cultural, financial and operational objectives.

JOB FUNCTION:
Job functions include, but are not limited to the following.

• Directly supervises 20 - 30 hourly employees.
• Plans and controls production performance as measured against operating targets developed according to machine capabilities, manpower capabilities and projected business.
• Verifies that the machine remains within established operating parameters (centerlines).
• Responsible for the planning and monitoring of production performance against key operating targets.
• Ensures compliance to established customer quality and production standards.
• Actively leads and participates in plant safety, housekeeping, 5S and lean manufacturing programs by ensuring goals are met within the department.
• Ensures completion of all required paperwork, schedules, work orders, etc.
• Verifies all operator rounds are completed and recorded.
