At GDIT, people are our differentiator. As a Systems Engineer Senior Advisor supporting internal GDIT operations, you will be trusted to work in our enterprise cloud environment and develop better processes through automation. In this role, a typical day will include:
Ability to work on a highly technical and integrated team in support of government cloud infrastructure, architecture, and general day to day cloud operations.
Primary support will be Azure and AWS, but knowledge of Oracle cloud is also highly desired.
Collaborate closely with other teams, in support of GDIT internal cloud infrastructure operations.
Proficient in automating and managing cloud infrastructure using code and related tools, Terraform, Ansible, CloudFormation, Lambda, Azure Functions.
Proficient in high-level programing languages with Python, and Microsoft PowerShell.
Proficient in using Visual Studio Code, Git and related tools
Design, develop, code, and test complex software as they relate to cloud automation and support.
Provide cloud infrastructure tier III support within GDIT, and work with external vendors to quickly resolve issues.
Manage and audit cloud compliance and security requirements through automation.
Familiarity with Kubernetes, and Cloud Serverless applications.
WHAT YOU’LL NEED:
US Citizenship is required for this program
BA/BS (or an additional 4+ years equivalent experience)
10+ years of related experience
5+ years of experience designing and supporting enterprise-level automation with code.
5+ years of experience working on cloud infrastructure and managing cloud operations in Azure, AWS or Oracle
Experience with developer tool sets such as Visual Studio, Git, JSON, YAML, and Cloud Formation.
Be proficient in using cloud API calls to manage resources.
Windows and Linux OS experience.
Must have at least an architecture level cloud certification.
