As the Technical Operator, under the general direction of a lead Test Technician, Test Engineer and/or Test Manager you will be responsible for supporting the verification programs at the Product Verification Center. The Sr Lattice Crawler Crane Technical Operator is responsible for leading the assembly, reconfiguration, and operation of lattice crawler cranes for testing.
Reporting to the Manager of Product Performance, this position is located in Shady Grove, Pennsylvania.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Safely operate and instruct others in the safe operation of lattice crawler cranes. - Review and understand rigging and configuration requirements for cranes in test. - Verify and inspect test crane configuration and rigging, referencing test load charts, test plans, and rigging drawings - Collaborate with PVC technicians and Test Engineer to complete assigned crane testing. - Work to meet test requirements while supporting department goals and responsibilities - Assist with troubleshooting efforts. - Assure that test facilities are well maintained, ready to support test and analysis requirements, and comply with all safety practices. - Perform various crane operation functions in order to simulate real world customer environments. - Execute standardized testing protocols working with team. - Daily operation of testing programs while keeping detailed logs of test activity and results.
JOB REQUIREMENTS/WORKING CONDITIONS:
- The minimum of a High School Diploma with at least 10 years of Lattice Crawler Crane operation or rigging experience. - Must be able to satisfactorily complete an operators proficiency test. - Mechanical skills required, with an understanding of assembly processes for lattice cranes. - Ability to use Microsoft Office programs including Word and Excel. - CDL Class B License preferred, but not necessary. - Current CCO certified or ability to obtain within 3 months of hire. - Lattice Crawler Operating experience including luffing and fixed jib applications. - Competent understanding of Lattice Crawler assembly, disassembly, and reconfiguration. - Ability to learn and use the Verification Management System. - Ability to read and understand Engineering drawings. - Ability to utilize basic measurement devices such as a tape measure, pressure gauges, electrical multimeter. - Ability to read and understand standard Test Documents including CDA/CDT procedures. - Basic mathematical skills including ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. - Basic understanding of electrical and hydraulic schematics and symbols. - Experience with 12/24VDC automotive electrical systems preferred. - Willing to work outside at least 80% of the time. - Ability to perform job functions in a safe manner and wear all Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) required by company policy for the job being performed. - Must be able to lift 50lbs. - Travel may be required to remote locations to perform on site testing and/or customer support; 5% of the time or less.
