Who You Are:
This position primary responsibility is supporting the Refugee Services/Ukraine Response Team in both face-to-face client interactions including client intakes and meetings, enrollment in services, transportation, administrative activities, and maintaining case files. The successful candidate will support the team through the coordination and management of donations, including those needed for providing clients with basic household items.
What You Will Work On:
Aid in Case Management and services to newly and recently arrived cases.
Assist Case Managers in the delivery of core services such as airport pickups, apartment, set up, transportation of clients, etc.
Assist in enrolling clients in public assistance programs such as food stamps, medical, and cash.
What You Bring:
Education, Certifications, and Licensure Requirements/Preferences
Associate degree (2-year program) or equivalent lived and/or worked experience required. Major course work in social services, human services, or related field preferred.
6 months prior experience of working with refugees and immigrant communities is strongly preferred.
Demonstrated competency working with people from diverse cultures. Ability to assess and treat clients in a culturally competent manner.
Ability to communicate concisely and effectively, both verbally and in writing English required. Demonstrated fluency in a second language is preferred (especially with languages common in Ukraine). Experience working with interpreters preferred.
