We are looking for a designer to bring their passion for high quality and sustainable design to our team to support the men’s woven shirts business.

About the role:

The Designer will partner with the Senior Designer and Head of Design on seasonal direction, creative tone and product assortment for men’s woven shirts. They will play a part creating meaningful product that performs; is accountable for the development process, growing the business and seeking opportunities to positively affect their product categories for both short and long-term growth. This Designer will partner closely with cross functional team members, who collectively, are responsible for creating product and brand that reinvents the meaning of modern American wardrobe essentials.

What you’ll do:

  • Responsible for managing the design process, from concept, color palette and artwork development to final sample.
  • Conduct seasonal shopping, online, social media and consumer research in order to identify new trends, silhouettes, fabrics, techniques, etc.
  • Actively participate in the design and development of the seasonal collections for men’s woven shirts (fabric, print, pattern, color, silhouette, styling, fit, trim and details) to multiple audiences - internal leaders as well as cross-functional team members.
  • Build and maintain seasonal design decks, line sheets and other collateral that is integral to presentations, line reviews and product adoption.
  • Responsible for creating high-quality Adobe Illustrator flat and detail sketches, building and maintaining the sketch library.
  • Creating and updating BOM’s and tech packs within the PLM system.
  • Participate in product fittings, provide fit recommendations, note feedback and update sketches and tech packs, as necessary.
  • Manage all color approvals, lab dips, strike-offs, bulk fabric lots, wash submits, etc.

Who You Are:

  • Strong design, color and conceptual skills.
  • Ability to create and design into concepts.
  • Strong sense of style and color.
  • Thorough knowledge of silhouettes, fabrication, and construction.
  • Strong organizational, time management, communication, presentation, collaboration, and negotiation skills.
  • A self-starter, self-motivated, the ability to work remotely, yet together. A positive can-do attitude and the ability to inspire and positively influence others.
  • Good understanding of merchandising as it relates to sales and store environment.
  • Previous menswear design experience: woven experience preferred, Minimum of 4 years.
  • Solid computer knowledge. Experienced in Adobe Suite, more specifically Illustrator, Photoshop and InDesign
  • College degree in fashion design or related field.
  • Ability to work in PLM software. 
  • Knowledge of 3D software preferred, but not required.
