About The Team/Position

 

Join the Walmart Regulatory Legal Team to partner with the business & compliance teams on fast-paced, regulatory focused tasks, supporting related business strategies for the world’s largest company.?The Senior Manager I, Legal, Global Regulatory Risk Assessment is a critical position in the Legal organization. You will actively engage multiple business stakeholders at various levels of the organization, including but not limited to: Global SMEs, Global Ethics, Legal, Digital Citizenship, Global Anti-Corruption, market CECOs, and the eCommerce Center of Excellence, to mitigate legal and compliance regulatory risks by conducting market/business unit regulatory risk assessments and driving a consistent approach to assessing risk. Together with the stakeholders, you will identify and discuss the root causes of key regulatory risks and proposed action plans designed to mitigate those root causes.  The Senior Manager will also work closely with the Strategy and Operations organization to develop governance around prioritizing tech resources based on risk, and take ownership for evaluating and submitting specifications for tech needs for the regulatory risk assessment team.

You’ll make an impact by...

  • Quickly grasping the fundamentals of the various E&C programs – The risk assessment covers all E&C subject matter areas, and a thorough assessment process requires a working knowledge of each of those areas 
  • Assist in drafting and assembling comprehensive risk assessment reports – The outputs of every market risk assessment are documented by a strategic regulatory risk portfolio that can be digested by senior executive leadership
  • Leveraging data, metrics, and analytics – Our risk assessment process is data driven and relies on several data sources. The Senior Manager will help the Global Regulatory Risk Assessment Team continue to evolve and improve how we use data to assess risk. This will include developing risk-relevant analytics, acquiring new data sets, and analyzing E&C program metrics 
  • Forging strong partnerships – The risk assessment process involves several stakeholders across the business, market-level E&C teams, Global E&C, and Global Governance. An effective and efficiently executed risk assessment will require partnerships with all those stakeholders 
  • Operating with excellence – We set our standards high and expect our risk assessment to be best-in-class. This Senior Manager should expect and drive excellence in every aspect of the process, from pre-assessment preparation all the way to final reporting
